House Receipt is a local-first tool. Your service records, contractor details, costs, and photos are stored in your browser on this device.

What stays local

We do not receive, view, sell, or analyze your receipts. Backups are created only when you request them. Ordinary JSON backups are readable files; encrypted archives are protected by the passphrase you choose. We cannot recover that passphrase.

License checks

If you buy the one-time unlock, the license token is stored in your browser and sent to Sociobot’s billing API at most once per day to verify that it is active. Sociobot/Dodo is the merchant of record and processes checkout details. House Receipt never receives your card number.

Network and deletion

The installed app works offline. It makes no analytics or advertising requests. Clearing this site’s browser data deletes its local records and license from this device; export a backup first if you want to keep them.
